Aluminium TIG welder wanted in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough

We are recruiting: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough, Wales. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish 4+ years on the tools preferred.
