Join our team: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Georgetown County, South Carolina. You will be based on the moulding line. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Your main tasks: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Full-time with occasional weekends.
