Argon welder — Franklin County

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Franklin County, Maine. Day-to-day duties: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp Ideal candidate: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
