Now hiring: we are hiring a bricklayer in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a residential building site. Day-to-day duties: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge You should have: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Six days a week, one day off.
