Urgent requirement: we are hiring a banksman in Franklin County, Tennessee. You will work at a power plant. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Confident with standard crane hand signals 5+ years on the tools preferred.
