Core maker wanted in Shenandoah County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a core maker in Shenandoah County, Virginia. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. Your main tasks: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
