Vacancy available: milling machinist (Kano State)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a milling machinist in Nassarawa, Kano State. You will be based at a busy machine shop. Your main tasks: • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
