Construction helper — City of Danville

We are recruiting: we are hiring a construction helper in City of Danville, Virginia. You will work with a civil contractor. On a typical shift you will carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site; clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean; erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; backfill and ram down soil around the foundations. You should have: • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
