Join our team: kitchen porter (Scotland)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a kitchen porter in City of Edinburgh, Scotland. You will be based in a hospital canteen. The role involves clean, drain and descale the dish machine at the end of each shift; wash chopping boards, knives and kitchen utensils; mop the floors and wipe down kitchen surfaces and splashbacks; empty bins, take out the rubbish and break down cardboard; scrub out grease traps and clear blocked drains and gullies. Ideal candidate: • Basic food hygiene awareness (Level 2 certificate a plus) • Punctual, reliable and hard-working • Able to work fast and keep up under service pressure 5+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. £17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
