Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Lumpkin County, Georgia. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer You should have: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
