Sausage maker wanted in Saint Tammany Parish

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sausage maker in Saint Tammany Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a meat processing plant. On the job you will handle: • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Season and marinate meat on request What we are looking for: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
