Gtaw welder wanted in City and County of Swansea

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gtaw welder in City and County of Swansea, Wales. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Your main tasks: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Full-time, day shift.
