Now hiring: we are hiring a safety officer in North Tyneside, England. The job is at a busy construction site. On a typical shift you will run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Performance bonus on top of base pay.
