Container truck driver • Kershaw County, South Carolina

We are recruiting: we are hiring a container truck driver in Kershaw County, South Carolina. You will be based at a haulage company. Ideal candidate: • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips You will couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards; present documents at weighbridges and check posts; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels; secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. We offer $140 per day plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends.
