Great opportunity: we are hiring a machinist in City of Fredericksburg, Virginia. You should have: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently The role involves: • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
