We are recruiting: we are hiring a dogger in Pamlico County, North Carolina. Day-to-day duties: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces 2+ years on the tools preferred.
