Immediate opening: we are hiring a general labourer in Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is on a commercial building project. On a typical shift you will break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage; erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up. Requirements: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
