Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Lynn County, Texas. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. You should have: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings On the job you will handle: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
