Urgent requirement: HSE officer (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a HSE officer in Buckingham County, Virginia. Day to day you will run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements. Ideal candidate: • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Rotating shifts.
