Cold room technician • Brighton and Hove, England

Vacancy available: we are hiring a cold room technician in Brighton and Hove, England. You will work on a customer's rooftop chiller plant. Ideal candidate: • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints On the job you will handle: • Trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution • Check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture • Install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Clean condenser and evaporator coils Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Pay around £2,200 per month, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
