We are recruiting: we are hiring a pressman in Lyon County, Iowa. The job is in a tailoring workshop. Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment The role involves: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Give each garment a final press before packing • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
