Gtaw welder wanted in Carteret County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Carteret County, North Carolina. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. The role involves: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day 3+ years on the tools preferred.
