Fabrication workshop technician — Columbia County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Columbia County, New York. You will work on site fitting windows in new-build flats. Day to day you will glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it; install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter; check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals; read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile. Requirements: • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges 6+ years on the tools preferred.
