Join our team: we are hiring a rigger in Chatham County, North Carolina. You will be based on a high-rise building site. The role involves: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position What we are looking for: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
