Great opportunity: we are hiring a TIG welder in Hood County, Texas. You will be based on a structural steel site. The role involves feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts.
