Ladle pourer • Manitowoc County, Wisconsin

We are recruiting: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. The role involves tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Six days a week, one day off. Pay around $4,800 per month, based on your experience.
