Vacancy available: site safety steward (Maine)

Now hiring: we are hiring a site safety steward in Kennebec County, Maine. On the job you will handle: • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action What we are looking for: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
