Now hiring: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Taylor County, Texas. On a typical shift you will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing. You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Pay around $4,700 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
