What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Day-to-day duties: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer 3+ years on the tools preferred.
