Semi-automatic welder • Kirklees, England

We are recruiting: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Kirklees, England. You will work at a busy production line. You will change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding. Requirements: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
