What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through The role involves: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
