Immediate opening: kitchen porter (Maine)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a kitchen porter in Penobscot County, Maine. The job is in a catering unit. On a typical shift you will clean, drain and descale the dish machine at the end of each shift; sort, dry and return clean plates and bowls to the kitchen stations; keep the dish pit tidy, dry and slip-free throughout service; mop the floors and wipe down kitchen surfaces and splashbacks; scrub out grease traps and clear blocked drains and gullies; top up detergent and rinse aid and check wash and sanitise temperatures. Requirements: • Good teamwork with chefs and floor staff • Willing to work evenings, weekends and split shifts • Previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen preferred Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $4,600 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
