Safety inspector — Shelby County

Now hiring: we are hiring a safety inspector in Shelby County, Iowa. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry You should have: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Part-time with flexible hours.
