Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furniture maker in Jo Daviess County, Illinois. On a typical shift you will cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours. Requirements: • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
