Machine operator — City of Salem

Vacancy available: we are hiring a machine operator in City of Salem, Virginia. You will be based in a CNC machine shop. You will change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers; monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift; follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine; clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line; set up and start the machine as per the job card; key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature. You should have: • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off.
