Now hiring: we are hiring a presser in Fillmore County, Nebraska. You will work in a tailoring workshop. You will use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine 4+ years on the tools preferred. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
