We are recruiting: we are hiring a machinist in Greater London, England. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Day-to-day duties: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line Rotating shifts.
