Elevator repair technician • Sussex County, Virginia

Immediate opening: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Sussex County, Virginia. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate Your main tasks: • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables We offer $17 per hour plus benefits.
