Argon arc welder • Independence County, Arkansas

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Independence County, Arkansas. You will be based on a structural steel site. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard On the job you will handle: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish 4+ years on the tools preferred.
