Urgent requirement: steel erection rigger (Jigawa State)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Taura, Jigawa State. You will be based at a power plant. Your main tasks: • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Overtime paid at a premium rate.
