Day to day you will keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire 6+ years on the tools preferred.
