Now hiring: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in Carroll County, Maryland. You will be based in a tool room. On a typical shift you will read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; write and edit G-code programs at the control; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed. Requirements: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
