Stainless steel welder wanted in Wayne County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Wayne County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Day to day you will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $170 per day plus benefits.
