Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Calvert County, Maryland. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Six days a week, one day off.
