Immediate opening: gas installation technician (Iowa)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas installation technician in Webster County, Iowa. You will be based on commercial and industrial sites. On the job you will handle: • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray Ideal candidate: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing 5+ years on the tools preferred. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
