Fabricator-welder — Decatur County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Decatur County, Kansas. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. Day to day you will maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc. Requirements: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
