Pipe tig welder wanted in Buena Vista County

Join our team: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Buena Vista County, Iowa. You will work on an industrial construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
