Immediate opening: gantry crane operator (Kentucky)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Rowan County, Kentucky. You will work on a high-rise tower crane. You should have: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging The role involves: • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
