Sample machinist • Montgomery County, Mississippi

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in Montgomery County, Mississippi. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. Day-to-day duties: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required Requirements: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
