Panel welder wanted in Orkney Islands

Great opportunity: we are hiring a panel welder in Orkney Islands, Scotland. Requirements: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Your main tasks: • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch Full-time with occasional weekends.
